Financial Controller

Location: Birmingham Hybrid | Full-time

An established organisation is looking for a skilled Financial Controller to lead its financial accounting function. This is a pivotal role managing a small team and overseeing a range of financial operations, including reporting, compliance, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals across multiple locations
• Oversee monthly and quarterly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
• Manage lease accounting, intercompany transactions, and capital expenditure
• Ensure timely reconciliations and accurate financial reporting
• Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders across departments
• Support the development of financial systems and reporting tools

What We’re Looking For:

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems
• Familiarity with lease accounting standards and intercompany processes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• Experience working in a complex, multi-entity environment is desirable
