Finance Director

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Director will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, driving commercial performance, and supporting key decision-making across the business. You will lead a small but capable finance team, ensuring financial excellence while staying close to the detail.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back, we need a qualified professional is who sees themselves as 'on the front foot'. You are happy to get stuck into the detail, roll up your sleeves, work at pace, and bring clarity and insight to the numbers. You will be equally comfortable in the boardroom as you are in the day-to-day operations of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a true business partner to the CEO and wider leadership team, challenging and supporting decisions with robust financial insight
• Own the end-to-end finance function - from reporting and forecasting to budgeting, cashflow management and compliance
• Provide commercial leadership on pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimisation initiatives
• Deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information to drive performance and growth
• Lead, develop, and inspire a small finance team, fostering a high-performance, hands-on culture
• Support customer-facing teams with financial data and insights that enhance client delivery and profitability

About You:
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong track record in senior finance roles.

• Commercially astute, with the ability to turn financial data into strategic decisions.
• Proven experience operating in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment - ideally in a services, retail, or consumer-focused sector.
• A natural business partner - confident, communicative, and collaborative, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfortable managing a small team while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented.
• Driven, curious, and solutions-focused, with the agility to adapt in a growing, changing business.
