Finance Director

Altum Consulting are working with a leading FMCG company to recruit an Interim Finance Director position based in Central London. This role is a 6-month contract offering the opportunity to lead a high-impact finance function within a fast-paced and growing business. Applying candidates must be available on a short notice period.

Finance Director role:

• Lead the overall financial strategy and operations of the business
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the Board
• Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory obligations
• Design and implement financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management practices
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning across all business functions
• Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support decision-making at the executive level
• Partner closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to drive profitability and efficiency
• Lead system improvement initiatives and support finance transformation projects
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team

As a Finance Director you'll be/have:

• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience
• Experience working within the FMCG, retail, or consumer goods sector
• Strong leadership skills and proven success managing finance teams and influencing C-suite stakeholders
• A strategic thinker with commercial acumen and a data-driven approach
• Experience driving business performance through financial planning and analysis
• Hands-on, adaptable, and solutions-focused, able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Available to start on a short notice period
