We are in search of a Finance Director to shape the strategic and commercial direction of a growing charity that delivers life-changing support across the South Coast. As Finance Director, you’ll take on responsibility for finance, operations and wider business functions, blending technical expertise with commercial acumen to support the charity’s long-term growth.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:
Leading the financial strategy, planning and risk management across the organisation
Producing timely, accurate financial reports for the CEO, Board and stakeholders
Overseeing financial operations including audit, compliance, and statutory reporting
Managing and developing a finance team, ensuring continuous improvement
Supporting commercial ventures including new income streams
Contributing to long-term growth strategy, including retail, fundraising and operational development
What you will need:
To be a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Experience operating at a senior/board level in a strategic finance leadership role
Experience working in similar roles, such as Finance Director / Head of Finance / Financial Controller / Finance Manager
A collaborative, people-focused approach with strong stakeholder management skills
Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to influence income generation and operational strategy
Charity / not-for-profit sector experience is desirable but not essential
