Finance Director

We are partnering with a leading FTSE 250 retail business to appoint a commercially astute and strategically minded Finance Director. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic and high-growth company at a pivotal time in its journey.

As Finance Director, you will play a critical leadership role, working closely with the Executive Team to shape financial strategy, drive performance, and ensure long-term value creation. You’ll lead a high-performing finance function and partner across the business to deliver insight and clarity in a fast-paced, consumer-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A), reporting, and control functions
• Partner with the CEO and Board on commercial and strategic decision-making
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Ensure strong financial governance and compliance with regulatory frameworks
• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including M&A and market expansion
• Build and develop a talented finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with significant post-qualified experience
• Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role within a retail, consumer, or multi-site business
• Commercially focused with strong strategic insight and operational understanding
• Experience operating at Board level or engaging with public company stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
