Finance Director

This is a great opportunity to join a privately owned, highly successful financial services SME as their Finance Director.

You’ll be partnering directly with the Business Owners to help shape and drive the long-term strategy, while also leading the day-to-day running of the finance function.

It’s a broad role that offers a blend of hands-on delivery and strategic input — perfect for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves but also influencing decisions at board level.

You’ll be joining a business known for its long-standing client relationships, technical expertise and down-to-earth culture.

There’s a real focus here on succession planning and developing people from within, and the role offers long-term potential, including future equity options.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and develop the finance team, driving improvements across controls, processes and reporting
• Partner with the owners and wider leadership team on strategy, planning and decision making
• Build out KPIs and MI to support performance and growth
• Drive system improvements and automation (currently Sage 50 and Excel)
• Act as a key voice around the board table, influencing the direction of the business

What we’re looking for:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Background in a service-based business
• Strong blend of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery
• Proven experience leading teams and improving processes in a growing SME (sub £50m)

Offering between £90,000 to £120,000 + Bonus + Enhanced Holiday, Private Medical, Life Assurance + Future Equity Options
