Reed Finance Norwich are delighted to be supporting a valued client to recruit for an Interim Finance Director (potential to go permanent) to lead the organisations financial strategies and finance function. This is a pivotal role to ensure effective annual budgeting, robust financial management and supporting the strategic vision of the organisation.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Finance candidate to have a positive, short-term impact within a warm and welcoming organisation.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Lead the preparation and communication of the annual budget to key stakeholders, ensuring effective delivery of strategic objectives.
• Monitor and report on financial performance against budget, identifying potential concerns and opportunities in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.
• Manage and oversee cash-flow reporting, forecasting, investments, trusts, and funds.
• Establish and negotiate partnerships with commercial and professional advisors, including banks, auditors, and investment managers.
• Lead procurement processes for essential services and manage contracts effectively.
• Act as a principal advisor to various committees, providing strategic financial advice and support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be available to start immediately
• Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting and compliance management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally
• Experience in strategic planning and execution of financial strategies
