Finance Director

An amazing opportunity to join a high end design/manufacturing group at a time of change and development. Reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for finance, HR and operations. Committed to sustainability they have heavily invested in energy efficient design and operations. Improved energy saving in their factories and enhanced understanding of carbon impact. They are passionate about design and offering customers the highest quality hand finished products. This role is office based 5 days a week.

Responsibility of the FD/Head of Finance Role:-

• Oversee all finance, operations and HR, and report to the Managing Director
• Full responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Develop and implement financial strategy to drive growth, profitability and long term sustainability
• Lead the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the MD to drive strategic decision making with financial insight and analysis
• Manage relationships with Banks, HMRC and Auditors
• Hands on to complete month end process and deal with any supplier queries or bad debt.
• Project accounting for each contract, review costs and WIP reporting

Requirements of the FD/Head of Finance Role:-

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 10 years PQE
• Proven track record in a Senior Finance Leadership role
• Strong systems and excel skills
• Strong background in project accounting, costing, contract negotiation
• Hands on, to work at all levels in finance working with a team of 3 direct reports
