Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the UK's most exciting sustainable fashion and retail brands on the hire of a Finance Director to join their growing team.

Built by a passionate team of creatives, former athletes, and sustainability advocates, the business is on a mission to reimagine performance wear for the modern consumer, fusing technical excellence with planet-first design. With sustainability embedded at the heart of their ethos, the brand has rapidly built a loyal customer base across the UK and recently secured significant investment to support the next stage of their growth.

With turnover now scaling into the multi-millions and an expanding omnichannel presence (across D2C and selected retail/wholesale partnerships), the company is looking to strengthen its leadership team with a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Director. You'll report directly to the company founder, who is passionate about mentorship, and work closely with the senior leadership team across product, marketing and sales.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial strategy and infrastructure, with significant exposure to investor relations and strategic decision-making. The position is well suited to someone seeking a pathway to a CFO role in the near future.

The Role:

• Full ownership of financial strategy, cash flow forecasting, and long-term planning
• Business partnering with the Founder to model and support ambitious growth plans
• Lead month-end close, management accounts, and investor/board reporting
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis to inform strategic decisions
• Develop and report on key financial KPIs to guide cross-functional teams
• Implement robust financial controls and scalable systems to support growth
• Lead and mentor a growing finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Take the lead on investor communications, due diligence, and funding initiatives

What Our Client Would Like to See (Essential):

• Experience in a senior finance role (Finance Director, Head of Finance or similar)
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS or CIMA)
• Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to shape financial strategy
• Track record of building and scaling finance functions in high-growth SMEs
• Experience reporting to Founders and/or Investors
• Hands-on approach with excellent communication and leadership skills

What We'd Love to See (Non-Essential):

• Experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or fashion/apparel
• Passion for sustainability and scaling purpose-led brands
• Prior experience in VC- or PE-backed environments

Offered Package:

£100,000 - £135,000 + generous share options + hybrid working (3 days in North London Office)
