The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Finance ERP Business Analyst to join a major business transformation programme. This role will play a key part in delivering a large-scale ERP implementation, working closely with Finance, Technology, and external delivery partners to drive process improvements and support the successful rollout of new finance capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst with strong finance process knowledge who enjoys bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements relating to finance processes and reporting. Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand current processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Assess proposed system and process changes for business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment. Support integration across core finance functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Project Accounting. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support business readiness activities. Produce process documentation, workflow diagrams, training materials, and user guides. Drive process standardisation and business process re-engineering initiatives. Ensure finance processes meet regulatory, audit, and reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to improve automation, controls, and reporting efficiency.
About You
Essential Experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting ERP implementation or transformation programmes. Strong understanding of finance processes including General Ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience working with enterprise ERP platforms. Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills. Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and third-party suppliers. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience producing user stories, functional requirements, and test scenarios.
Desirable
Knowledge of IFRS and financial controls environments. Finance qualification, part qualification, or significant experience working within finance teams. Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes.
