Optimal Maintenance Ltd offers a professional service covering all types of property maintenance. This could be a carpenter to fit a new door lock, a gas safe plumber to install a new boiler or a full property refurbishment. No job is too small and, as a result, this means that properties receive the care they deserve with a high level of customer service from both office and field staff.
THE ROLE:
We are looking to expand our team and are seeking to recruit a dynamic and forward thinking Finance Executive.
The successful candidate will ensure that financial processes are being followed correctly throughout the business and quality control measures are being successfully implemented to ensure business compliance.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage company expenses, ensuring that the correct processes are being followed, including managing Pleo limits
- Quality check of invoices and credit control
- Completing payroll including CIS payments
- Ensuring that suppliers are paid accurately and on time
- Performing monthly reconciliations
- Managing the finance inbox
- Ensuring that HMRC and pension filings are done in a timely manner and any outstanding messages are actioned
- Preparing monthly financial targets
- Preparing monthly reports for Directors
- Performing quality checks and identifying and flagging any business risks to Directors
- Managing the Power BI Dashboard and ensuring its smooth operation
- Supporting the Finance Director in the preparation and implementation of policies and procedures
- Preparing monthly snapshots to the team outlining performance
- Any other tasks as required by the business and Directors

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
- Experience working within a property maintenance company
- Experience of using Microsoft 365 and Xero accounting software
- Ability to multi-task
- Meticulous attention to detail and highly organised
- Ability to prioritise, work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Decision-making based on company objectives
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Adaptable to the needs of the business and new technologies
