Finance Manager

An established and growing business in the logistics sector is looking for a Finance Manager to play a key role in its finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role involves supporting the team, ensuring strong financial controls, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and mentor the finance team, supporting their long-term development
• Handle complex finance queries related to payroll, payments, and journals
• Review and enhance financial controls and operational efficiencies
• Manage financial accounting to trial balance, including accruals and prepayments
• Prepare VAT data for MTD and PAYE reconciliations
• Ensure consistency in finance processes and documentation across the group
• Build strong relationships with directors, senior managers, and external advisors
• Deliver high-quality, accurate financial reporting

What We’re Looking For:

• Comfortable in a fully office-based role – either 4 or 5 days per week
• Previous team management experience
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication skills to influence decision-making
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial data to identify trends

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + 22 days holiday (rising with service + bank holidays)
