Finance Manager

My client is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee their financial operations, manage a team, and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of their accounting practices. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a proven track record in financial management.

• Manage two accounts assistants responsible for the purchase ledger and sales ledger/credit control.
• Oversee all purchase ledger invoices, ensuring they are posted correctly against the appropriate nominal and within the correct accounting period.
• Control and oversee the payroll for 50 staff members, including both salaried and hourly-paid employees.
• Take full responsibility for the preparation of management accounts, maintaining cash flow forecasts, preparing for supplier payment meetings, and managing aged debtors.
• Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices, ensuring precise maintenance of cut-off periods.

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.
• You must have accounting qualifications.
• Strong grasp of financial and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present financial information clearly.
• Experience with Sage 200 or similar accounting software.
• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
