Finance Manager

• Part-time (24 hours per week over 4 days)
• Location: Wallingford, OX10
• Salary: £28,800 (FTE £45,000)

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our dedicated team. This role involves comprehensive management of finance and accounting functions for multiple entities. The successful candidate will work closely with another Finance Manager and the Finance Director to ensure all financial operations are carried out efficiently and effectively.

• Own and prepare the monthly management accounts including journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee and support functions such as purchase ledger, sales ledger, debt collection, and payroll.
• Prepare financial statements for the year ended 31 March, including audit deliverables and coordination with auditors.
• Ensure accurate income recording from local authorities and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with the Finance Director and monitor cash flows.
• Handle VAT returns for specific entities and manage the credit/payment cards programme.
• Engage in continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

• Demonstrable experience in finance management, familiar with UK GAAP and VAT requirements.
• Proficient in using SAGE 200 and strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (including LookUps and SumIfs).
• Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams and interact effectively with people with learning disabilities.
• Experience in leading a finance team and driving continuous improvement.
• Qualified by experience in finance with a strong understanding of financial principles and standards.
