Finance Manager

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation in Worcester. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in an environment where they can have real impact.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for leading day-to-day finance operations, managing a small team, and actively supporting the wider business with insightful financial reporting and control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily finance function, including supervision and development of an Assistant Accountant
• Oversee daily cash flow management, monitoring and forecasting
• Lead month-end management accounts preparation and reporting
• Support budget holders with meaningful analysis and financial insight
• Manage payroll, pensions, HMRC reporting, and expense processes
• Oversee VAT returns, audit preparation and fixed asset register maintenance
• Administer and maintain finance systems, ensuring robust controls are in place
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Uphold high standards of customer service across internal and external relationships

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
• Solid experience in a similar finance role, ideally with staff management exposure
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, etc.)
• Attention to detail and understanding of robust processes and financial controls
• Confident communicator with strong business partnering skills
• Proactive and adaptable, with a mindset for continuous improvement
