Are you an experienced Finance Manager with a passion for purpose-driven work? REED Finance are working with a dedicated not-for-profit organisation based in Edinburgh, that are looking for a skilled Finance Manager to join their well-established Finance team.

About the Role:

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and strategy of the business. This is a hands-on position that requires both strategic thinking and attention to detail. You will be responsible for managing the finance team, overseeing financial reporting, and providing insights that drive business performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to support growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Manage cash flow, banking, and investment activities.
• Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Supervise and mentor finance team members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in charity or not-for-profit finance is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and charity SORP
• Proficiency in accounting software Sage
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
