Finance Manager

Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced accounting professional seeking a broad business role to join a successful growing SME business as the Finance Manager at their office near Uffculme, Devon.

Reporting to the Managing Director, and working as part of a friendly team this is a hands-on Finance Manager position with responsibility for all aspects of accounting duties as well as ensuring the smooth running of the office:

• Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations.
• Month end duties including payment runs, journal entries.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Management accounting including variance analysis.
• Cashflow forecasting.
• MI analysis and reporting, including contract profit margin analysis.
• Producing VAT returns.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers
• Credit control as needed.
• Supporting the preparation of year end accounts, liaising with external accountants.
• Issuing P/O numbers to engineers and collating site visit reports
• Arranging vehicle maintenance, tax, MOTs, servicing etc for a small fleet.
• H&S and HR administration, liaising with third party providers.
• Contract reviews for utilities providers, e.g. mobile phones etc.
• Office administration including answering call and emails and diary management.
• Liaising with colleagues across the business and providing support as needed.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000pa + benefits.
Location: On site at offices near Uffculme.
Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am- 5pm some flexibility

Finance Manager - The Person:
This role will suit an experienced accounting professional seeking a varied hands-on role with a fast paced business, where you will be responsible for maintaining accounts, supporting the Directors with timely accurate financial reporting as well as ensuring the smooth running of the office.

• Recent experience including transactional accounting, management accounting and VAT returns.
• A strong communicator, you’ll possess an approachable personality and a positive attitude.
• IT literate with experience of Xero and Excel (formula, look ups etc), knowledge of Dext is desirable.
• Team player able to work using own initiative and effectively manage own time.
