Finance Manager

Reed Banking are currently representing an international bank in their search for a Finance Manager. This pivotal role manages all aspects of the Finance function, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements. The successful candidate will provide strategic support to the CFO and senior management, produce reliable and accurate Management Information, and contribute to the production of Business Plans. This role is crucial for driving efficiencies in processes, systems, and workflows.

• Manage and supervise a small Finance team daily.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and submit statutory financial reporting accurately and within set timeframes, including FCA/PRA, Bank of England, VAT, and Corporation Tax.
• Produce management accounts, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare annual financial statements under IFRS, manage external auditors, and support the production of business plans.
• Monitor capital adequacy, including the preparation and submission of the Bank’s ICAAP document.
• Ensure all Finance policies, procedures, and checklists are up-to-date.
• Provide financial input into business development plans to ensure commercial viability of proposed projects.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with regulations of the Companies Act concerning director rotation and submission of accounts/reports.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Banking with a strong understanding of retail banking products, services, and processes.
• In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory reporting obligations (EBA, PRA, FCA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), particularly IFRS 9.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Banking and Regulatory Systems and SQL is advantageous.
• Proven team leadership and people management skills.
