Our client, a well-established manufacturing and production company based in Milton Keynes, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. This Finance Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations within a thriving manufacturing environment, working closely with senior management to drive business performance and growth.

The successful Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Milton Keynes manufacturing operations, ensuring robust financial controls and reporting standards across all production activities.

Financial Leadership:

• Lead financial accounting, taxation, and management reporting for Milton Keynes manufacturing operations
• Provide strategic financial support to senior leadership team
• Oversee monthly/annual financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance

Manufacturing Finance:

• Analyse production costs and manufacturing overheads to optimise efficiency
• Support budget planning and forecasting for manufacturing departments
• Monitor key financial metrics related to production performance

Team Management:

• Manage and develop finance team professionals
• Ensure adherence to accounting best practices across the function

Compliance:

• Prepare VAT returns, manage customs documentation, and coordinate audit processes
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations affecting manufacturing businesses

Qualifications & Experience:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance role, preferably within manufacturing or production environments
• Proven track record in financial management and team leadership

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (BaaN system knowledge advantageous)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and production finance
• Knowledge of VAT, customs procedures, and international trade regulations
