Finance Manager

Reed Accountancy are currently working with a local values-led hospitality business driven by quality, sustainability, and community seeking a Finance Manager to lead their day-to-day operations. Working alongside a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial systems, providing accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making with clear and timely financial insight.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a finance role, ideally within the hospitality or multi-site sector, and be confident working with Xero or similar platforms. This role offers a great balance of operational and strategic responsibilities within a supportive and growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bookkeeping accuracy in Xero
• Validate financial entries and ensure correct VAT treatment
• Oversee aged debtors and creditors
• Prepare and review VAT returns
• Produce monthly management accounts
• Perform detailed reconciliations
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Prepare statutory accounts
• Create and maintain cash flow forecasts
• Update financial forecasts for business planning
• Manage bank reconciliations and cash receipts

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience at a Management Accountant/Finance Manager role within an SME environment. Knowledge of Xero would be preferred alongside strong Excel and IT skills. The business operate on a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days in the office.
