Finance Manager

Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic team? Reed Accountancy are recruiting for a prestigious law firm for someone to lead their Accounts Team, ensuring excellence in financial management and compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Stewardship: Handle accounts queries and client account reconciliation with precision.
• Expense Management: Process staff expenses and maintain direct debits & standing orders.
• Client Money Management: Oversee all client monies, daily bank statement postings, and volume TT’s and BACS payments.
• Transaction Processing: Manage transfers between client and office accounts, bill postings, and completion pack processing.
• Banking Operations: Conduct daily banking, issue cheques/payments, and update purchase ledgers.
• Payment Handling: Process and receive card payments, monitor client balances, and handle staff queries regarding ledgers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports for the Partners/Management team and attend board meetings as needed.
• Compliance: Liaise with the Firm’s accountants to ensure compliance and completion of accounts.
• Payroll Management: Ensure timely and efficient processing of monthly payroll.
• Team Development: Supervise and develop a team of legal cashiers.

Experience:

• Proven experience in supervising a team, ideally within a legal environment.
• Proficiency in using case management systems.
• Strong drive to succeed and provide excellent client service.
• Expertise in using computer software (e.g., Excel) to generate reports.
