Finance Manager

Your new company
This very successful SME group of companies are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join the team and take ownership of the financial operations across the group of companies. This is a hands-on role, managing one team member responsible for transactional accounting and preparation of management accounts.
Your new role
You will oversee the full finance function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management across the main company and four subsidiary entities.Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Year-end accounting and liaison with external auditors
• Payroll processing for approximately 35 staff, including CIS
• Consolidation of group accounts
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Compilation of financial statements for the main company and four subsidiaries
• Oversight and review of work produced by the finance assistant
• Use of bespoke accounting systems and Sage Payroll

What you'll need to succeed
Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Financial Controller role
• Strong understanding of payroll, CIS, and group accounting
• Proficient in Sage Payroll and comfortable with bespoke systems
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities
• Strong communication and leadership skills
