Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Outskirts of Harrogate
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 DOE
Hours: Full Time (can consider 4 days working week)

Our client is currently recruiting for a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the company’s financial operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business where your input will make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory accounts and manage the annual audit process
• Produce monthly or quarterly management accounts
• Submit quarterly VAT returns
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain fixed asset records
• Manage ledgers and oversee cash flow and bank balances
• Produce budgets and financial forecasts
• Administer company insurances and pensions
• Handle Companies House and National Statistics returns
• Provide cover for Accounts Administrator duties (including payroll and purchase ledger)
• Offer financial advice to the Managing Director, shareholders, and managers
• Adapt to and manage the evolving business environment

Skills Required

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and payroll
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
