Finance Manager (Fully Qualified) - Permanent

We are working with a long-established UK organisation operating in a stable, well-structured operational environment. The business has a strong trading history and a reputation for consistency, quality and reliability. They are now seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified accountant who values accuracy, control and being close to the detail, within a supportive and measured working environment.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of core finance activities and maintaining robust financial controls across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and organising day-to-day finance operations
• Processing and oversight of purchase invoices within the accounting system
• Managing the cash book and completing regular bank reconciliations
• Preparing and running supplier payment processes
• Overseeing credit control, including customer accounts and credit approvals
• Supporting statutory, compliance and company secretarial requirements
• Ensuring all key payments, returns and submissions are completed accurately and on time
• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date accounting records and financial data
• Acting as a reliable finance point of contact for internal stakeholders

About You

This role will suit a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) who enjoys working in a structured, operational finance role.

Key requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong experience in financial control and transactional finance
• Background in an SME or operational business environment
• Confident user of accounting systems and Excel
• High attention to detail with a calm, methodical approach
• Able to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
• Clear communicator, comfortable supporting non-finance colleagues

• Contract: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, standard office hours
• Location: On-site role in Bedfordshire
