Salary: Up to £45,000 (Dependant on experience)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Finance Manager to join a well-established business based in Derby.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a well-established business based in Derby. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional with strong construction industry knowledge who will support the day-to-day management of the finance function, and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.

Responsibilities

* Manage the purchase and sales ledger functions

* Managing subcontractor payments and verifying CIS compliance

* Complete bank reconciliations

* Prepare and submit VAT returns & CIS returns

* Ensure compliance with HMRC and construction industry regulations

* Support with cashflow forecasting and management accounts

* Support month-end and year-end accounting processes

* Training and mentoring finance staff

* Provide wider support to the finance team and contribute to ad hoc finance tasks as required

Requirements

* Experience working as an accounts manager or in a similar senior finance role

* Previous experience managing a finance team

* Previous experience working within the construction industry (highly desirable)

* Strong working knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes and HMRC compliance

* Good Excel skills

* A hardworking individual with a strong work ethic

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

* Excellent organisational and time management skills
