An established and growing international business is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to join its UK finance function to be based from their offices near St Neots.
This is a key role within the finance team, supporting the Financial Controller and taking ownership of financial control, statutory and management reporting, taxation, compliance and process improvement across two UK legal entities. You will also lead and develop a team of four, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a broad, hands-on management position within a global organisation. The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and submitting monthly management and intercompany reporting through the Group consolidated reporting system. Maintaining and reconciling the General Ledger, including balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and internal recharges. Taking responsibility for annual statutory accounts and external audits, ensuring deadlines are achieved and information is provided accurately and on time. Preparing, reconciling and submitting relevant tax and compliance returns, ensuring associated payment deadlines are met. Maintaining and updating the ERP system back office in line with Group and local requirements. Ensuring leased vehicle records and associated insurance information are accurately maintained. Supporting the Financial Controller with the ongoing review and improvement of financial processes and controls. Leading, mentoring and developing a team of four, providing guidance, training and support. Working collaboratively with colleagues across finance, the wider business and the international Group on projects and initiatives. The role will involve regular interaction with senior finance colleagues, the wider management team, Group Finance and global colleagues, as well as external legal and statutory authorities.
About You
We are looking for a qualified finance professional with a strong background in financial and management accounting and previous experience of leading a team.
You will ideally have:
CCAB qualification – essential 5+ years' financial/management accounting experience. Previous team leadership or people management experience. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS. Good understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, VAT, taxation and year-end processes. Experience working with finance/ERP systems and back-office functionality. Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum; advanced Excel would be desirable. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams. Excellent communication skills, including when working with international colleagues. A proactive, dynamic and "can-do" approach. Must live in a commutable location from St Neots What's on Offer?
