This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to develop their career with a fast growing, dynamic, investment-backed business in Lichfield. you will be tasked with delivering accurate and timely financial information and establishing and maintaining a robust control environment and a culture of continuous improvement. Your role: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management reports and other financial performance indicators Working with the CFO on the delivery of monthly financial board reports Collaborate with auditing services to ensure compliance Working alongside the CFO maximising any appropriate R&D tax credits, supporting work on Research and Development Tax Relief Claims Responsibility for VAT and PAYE/NIC, working alongside CFO for Corporation Tax and other compliance issues Take ownership of payroll processing and payments Help develop the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans Manage and monitor the company's cash flow, optimising working capital and liquidity to support operations and growth initiatives Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the executive team, helping to drive informed decision-making and overall business growth Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported Daily reconciliation and examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies Assist with the design, implementation and adherence to efficient and robust financial systems and controls Your background: Qualified or nearly Qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) Previous experience in a similar role within finance is essential Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards Strong communicator and able to develop relationships with key stakeholders Able to mentor and support others Possess a high attention to detail with 'big picture' awareness Committed to continuous improvement Analytical and problem-solving skills Positive outlook and generates enthusiasm and energy with a determined, can-do approach Your rewards: Salary range £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience Personal development and professional growth opportunities. 25 days annual leave Private Medical Insurance Death in Service Pension Please apply with your CV.
