Finance Manager

A private equity backed business require an experienced, hands-on Finance Manager to join them working in their central finance function. Managing a small team, you will be responsible for both management and financial accounts. The role will be mainly home based with 1 or 2 days a week on site depending on business need.

Responsibilities include:
Overall ownership of the group consolidated accounts
Monitoring and reporting of capital project spend
Creation and posting of accruals, prepayments and other accounting journals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Maintenance of fixed asset registers
Commentary and operational reporting
Weekly and monthly sales reporting
Aid budget holders in controlling their spend
Preparation of financial statements
Co-ordination and pivotal contact for year end financial audit
Group quarterly VAT returns and adjustments
Supporting with the creation of site and consolidated group budgets, to tight deadlines
Creation and upkeep of group cash flow model and monitoring of group cash position

Experience / Skills / Knowledge
QBE; part qualified or fully qualified candidates will be considered
Candidate must have excellent Excel skills and be confident using the back end of finance systems
Excellent communication and inter-personnel skills, ability to communicate cross functionally
The ideal candidate will enjoy being in a hands-on role with an excellent eye for detail.
