About Petrogas Petrogas North Sea Limited, a Petrogas E&P LLC subsidiary, is part of the exploration and production arm of the privately held, Oman-headquartered MB Group of Companies. Petrogas E&P was established in 1999, initially focusing on improving recovery from mature oil fields in Oman. Petrogas E&P nowadays is operating over 85,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and holds exploration and production interests in Oman, Egypt, the Netherlands, United Kingdom (UK) and Denmark.
Petrogas has a corporate office in Muscat, Oman, and has a European hub which is managed and supported from Rijswijk, The Netherlands. Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V., through its predecessors, has been active in the Netherlands since the mid-1960’s and has been operating oil and natural gas production since 1982. Currently, natural gas is produced from 4 offshore production assets, comprising of 4 shallow gas platforms. At the moment Petrogas has a busy program of decommissioning the oil platforms and developing a new natural gas production platform offshore. Next to the above, Petrogas is expanding their activities as well in Denmark, by taking over operatorship of the Denmark activities in the Robin Hood Area to further develop these fields.
Petrogas North Sea Limited (PNS), a subsidiary of Petrogas E&P UK Limited (PEPUK), is Operator in three license blocks in the UK continental shelf, Birgitta, Abbey and Baker. PNS is working on the concept select for Birgitta, next to drilling two wells in the UK in 2024 in the Abbey and Baker fields. The discovered Abbey field will be further developed in the coming years, with the first gas anticipated end 2027.
PNS has a business office in Aberdeen and is in the process of staffing the business through experienced contractors and local staff to support the growth opportunities in the UK.

Work experience, skills & qualification requirement. Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting and Finance Minimum of 10 plus years of experience (including joint venture accounting) in general oil & gas accounting and in addition 5-7 years of financial managerial experience in the oil & gas industry. Excellent knowledge of IFRS rules, UK GAAP and corporate finance activities. Good understanding and knowledge of ESG in the UK Good quantitative and analytical skills, detail-oriented, and can spot errors and discrepancies in financial data quickly and accurately Thorough understanding of UK oil and gas operational and commercial activities including HES matters and their influence on the business Good communication skills and ability to explain complex accounting matters incl. the impact Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through complexity.
