Job Description - Finance Manager

Fed Finance is a dedicated recruitment firm which specialises in Accountancy & Corporate Finance roles.
Our client, a well-established aerospace SME, is looking for a Finance Manager. They are based in Hertforshire, near St-Albans.
It's a £10+ millions company with 3 different entities based in UK and internationally.

Day-to-day management of company finances :
- Manage month end process to include journals, prepayments, accruals, commission calculations; cashbook, fixed asset register and stock and corporation tax
- Maintain cashbooks and bank reconciliations. Raise non AP and salary payments.
- P&L and Balance sheet variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Management of staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of all supplier and customer transactions for the UK, French and Malaysian entities.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for UK, France and Malaysia
- Monthly payroll calculations and entry for UK.
- Ensure all statutory records and payments are up to date.

Statutory reporting :
- Quarterly VAT calculation and submission for UK
- Monthly French VAT administration
- Annual audit information and preparation
- Annual return filing - PAYE, P11d's etc

People management :
- Review and monitor skills matrix in the Finance area
- Review training records and areas for skills improvement
- Operate system of appraisals and feedback
- Encourage and motivate staff to achieve high service levels and promote continuous improvement

- Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA), Part-Qualified or QBE
- Personality : Self-starter, responsible, team player, attention to details (high volume of invoices), well-organised
- Ideally an exposure to aerospace industries

Conditions :
- 5 days in the office.
- 37.5 hours per week with flexible time (Friday ends at 1pm or 3pm)
