We’re looking for a Finance Manager who’s exceptional at the day-to-day finance operations, is passionate about our cause and is ready to grow with us in the next few years.

About You
You’ll need a broad range of accounting experience and a capacity for strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and strong analytical skills as well as being organised, confident, and enthusiastic.

You will have outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively and effectively across the team and communicate clearly with stakeholders of all levels (financial or otherwise).

About the Role
As our Finance Manager, you'll:
Manage and optimise the Finance system to support accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial processes and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Perform Sales and Purchase Ledger functions and establish effective control systems.
Complete monthly accruals, prepayments and nominal entries and develop the month end reporting cycle.
Complete VAT returns, monthly payroll and HR processes.
Oversee the month-end close and produce management accounts for the executive team.
Oversee cash flow management and conduct insightful analysis to support decision-making.
Prepare, review and challenge business area budgets, business plans and forecasts.
Collaborate with the leadership team to support strategic objectives and influence business direction.
Manage relationship with external accountants, customers and suppliers.
Provide advice and financial modelling on the viability of business plans.
Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to enhance profitability.
Assist in securing funding for projects and oversee subsequent financial monitoring.
Lead and develop the finance team.
Have knowledge of GDPR and how it should be implemented and maintained across the business.

Experience

Full or Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CA/ACA),or qualified by experience in a similar role.
Experience in a management accounting position or similar.
Strong and demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting and financial planning.
Experience of working directly with management/ executive teams.
Ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
Proficient in the use of accounting software.
Strong data analysis, financial software and Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
