Finance Manager

Job Description JSS Finance are excited to be partnering with a well known multi-site restaurant group in Hertfordshire who are recruiting for a Finance Manager.

As the Finance Manager you will be acting as the number two to the Financial Controller. You will take ownership of month end reporting and property accounting whilst being actively involved with process improvements with exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.

This is a very exciting time for a newly qualified Finance Manager to join as you will be at the forefront of making a difference and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will be practice trained looking to make a move into industry.

The business have offices across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire however this role can be fully remote as long as someone is local to Hertfordshire and able to attend occasional meetings.

Key responsibilities:
Review and improve the finance function, systems and controls
Drive a continuous improvement mindset across finance and operational areas
Responsible for all areas of property accounting
Business partner and influence senior financial and non financial stakeholders across the business
Prepare and present monthly management accounts
Prepare budgets and forecasts
Update, maintain and review fixed asset register
Implement regular Balance sheet reviews
Support with regulatory reporting as required
Manage cash flow
Assist with large scale strategic initiatives
Support, develop and manage a small team

Key requirements:
Newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CA qualified accountant
Ideally practice trained looking to make a move into industry
Previous property, multi-site or restaurant experience is preffered
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
Strong internal and external stakeholder management capability, confident to partner and influence
