Job Description - Finance Manager - EU Sourcing

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Sourcing finance team, supporting the strategy of our European Sourcing business, a business unit with over $500m Goods for Resale spend annually.You will partner the European Sourcing business unit reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, European Sourcing, and will sit within the wider Operations business partnering team. You will work closely with our FP&A team. You will hold direct relationships with the Senior lead team of the VP, WBA Global Sourcing Europe and will need to build external relationships with our contract manufacturer who is a key strategic partner to both Boots UK and No7 Beauty Company. This is a unique opportunity to support a Global WBA function.Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting European Sourcing Leaders and their teams with understanding performance, providing analysis and creating insight to inform future decisionsStakeholder management, particularly building a strong working relationship with our contract manufacturer’s finance and operational teams. Following the recent announcement to close a UK manufacturing site, a project has been set up to manage and recover costs incurred by WBA over and above the existing contractual values – you will be pivotal in delivering this high profile programme including managing all reporting and governance aspects.Support and challenge annual implementation and validation of supplier pricesPartner teams in producing budget/forecast and then holding them to account for delivering these numbersProduce the European and wider Global Sourcing monthly reporting packsWork closely with FP&A ensuring on time and accurate reportingDrive continuous process improvement within the team

What you’ll need to have

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)Excellent communication, relationship-building and people leadership skills, to inspire, effect change and lead successful processes and performanceAbility to think strategically, review, and use analytical skills to understand the bigger picture whilst having good attention to detailExcellent Excel skills

It would be great if you also have

  • Knowledge of TM1 reporting, SAP and Power BI but not essentialPrevious experience working in a business partnering or FP&A role
