Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner

Your new role
This role sits within a Finance team of 6, offering a broad and varied role. You will have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Business partnering with numerous budget holders - reviewing expenditure against forecast on a monthly basis.
• Work with budget holders to identify issues, offering advice, support and solutions.
• Extract data for reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Support in the production of the annual report and accounts.
• Monitor, review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Take responsibility for transactions posted to the ledgers, including; PO processing, goods receipt notes, supplier invoices, claims, journal postings, accruals and pre-payments.
• Line management responsibility of one part-qualified accountant.

What you'll need to succeed

• CCAB (or equivalent) accountancy qualification - fully qualified or finalist
• Professional experience working as a Finance Business Partner, offering value-add reporting (including forecasting and budget setting
• Stakeholder management skills
• Experience of financial accounting processes
• Ability to analyse data using Excel
• Experience using SAP (desirable)
• Experience working with the government reporting standard FReM (desirable)
• Line management experience (desirable)
