The Role

We're looking for a reliable and experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function. You'll be leading a small finance team of four, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing, reporting, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-focused environment, values control and structure, and is comfortable operating in a business that moves large volumes of money daily.

Responsibilities

· Oversee and manage the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls are maintained
· Lead, support and develop a team of four finance staff
· Prepare management accounts and financial reports
· Manage cash flow and reconciliations across high-volume transactions
· Oversee direct debits, payments, and banking relationships
· Support the year-end audit process
· Continuously improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy

What We Need to See (Essential)

· Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar hands-on finance leadership role
· Strong staff management and team development skills
· Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
· Experience handling high-volume financial transactions
· Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting
· Comfortable with direct debit processes and bank reconciliation

What We'd Like to See (Bonus)

· Experience in a transaction-heavy or regulated environment
· Previous experience in an SME or fast-paced business setting
· Familiarity with accounting systems and finance process automation

Package
£50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
