Enfield Council is dedicated to tackling inequality and creating opportunities for all. As part of our commitment to service excellence, we're recruiting a Finance Payments and Admin Officer to support our Education and Schools Finance Team.

As a Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payments to schools. You'll provide excellent customer service and help drive improvements in finance processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Calculating and updating monthly school payments via the Council's schools advances system

• Performing financial reconciliations and resolving discrepancies

• Reviewing and following up on monthly and quarterly finance returns from schools

• Communicating effectively with both schools and internal Council departments

• Identifying and recommending process improvements

We want to hear from candidates who are:

• Detail-oriented with strong numeracy and literacy skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Confident communicators with experience in handling finance-related queries

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
