Finance Officer

Pertemps are delighted to be partnering with an organisation based in Renfrewshire who are currently looking to add to their Finance Team. The client is ideally looking for someone who has previous experience in a busy finance department The salary for this position is up to £30k depending on experience with some fantastic benefits. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 9am – 4.40pm and a 3.30pm finish on a Friday.

This role is initially for a period of 3mths but could be extended or made permanent.

A car is essential to travel to this client.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for processing of monthly transactions, customer billing and general accounting admin duties.

Main responsibilities

• Process accruals and prepayment journals
• Review of accounts payable invoices for completeness and accuracy
• Process monthly billing to customers
• Credit Control
• Creation of bank payments
• Bank reconciliations, including posting of cash transactions
• Assisting with investigation of outstanding items in balance sheet reconciliation
• Gather evidence for internal and external audits
• Assisting wider finance team with ad hoc duties and reporting

You may be asked from time to time to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position.

Essential experience:

• Previous experience in finance
• Microsoft packages, with advanced Excel
• Problem solving
• Responsive
