Finance Operations Associate

Job Description

Our client is looking for an Finance Operations Specialist to join their excellent Investment Operations team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in overseeing and facilitating transfer agent activities, supporting clients, and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. It is a great opportunity to hone your data skills and interact with teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage transfer agent activities and provide exceptional client support.
Execute both automated and manual monthly and quarterly fee and rebate processes to guarantee timely and accurate settlements.
Working with large datasets, ensuring data accuracy, performing complex analyses, and deriving actionable insights to produce bespoke commission processes. This will include accruing, calculating and paying or reinvesting rebates and other fees.
Maintain comprehensive records of fee calculations, reconciliations, and payment and monitor fee a commission balances held on bank accounts
Review and advise on draft Terms of Business Agreements, Service Agreements, Rebate Agreements, and other legal contracts from a Fund Operations Finance perspective.
Interpret legal contracts related to Fund Operations, understand the implications of contract terms, and ensure compliance.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements, suggest enhancements, and implement changes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
Investment Management experience essential
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, etc.
Strong quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
