Finance Operations Team Leader - Payments & Reconciliations

Are you ready to take charge of a high-performing finance operations team handling millions in daily transactions? We're looking for a Finance Operations Team Leader - Payments & Reconciliations to oversee complex, high-volume banking operations and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, growing business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy finance operations team, managing payment processing and reconciliations across multiple bank accounts. You will lead a small, focused team to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency, while identifying opportunities to enhance processes.

Please note: This role is fully office-based at the company's Leicester head office.

• Lead and mentor a team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and reconciliations

• Maintain integrity of cash books, reconciling to the general ledger

• Approve and process Bacs, Faster Payments, and high-value transactions

• Manage month-end reconciliations and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, resolving queries and escalations

• Proven experience in finance operations, banking, or treasury, ideally in a high-volume environment

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail

• A confident team leader with excellent communication skills

• Intermediate Excel proficiency and experience with multi-currency transactions
