Financial Accountant

Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s client is keen to add a Financial Accountant to the current team on a permanent role in Stirling. The company is a new start-up who have  recently acquired new investment to grow the business from their headquarters in Aberdeen.

This excellent opportunity will involve working primarily for the leading and developing finance function provision in a timely and accurate financial information. This role is ideal for an individual who can bring new ideas and help lead and deliver to senior management and our wider business ambitions.

Key duties of the role include:

• Support the Finance Team in driving the delivery, utilisation and efficiency of financial processes and resources.
• Responsible for the preparation of financial Year-End Accounts under IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing & reviewing financial statements, VAT returns, tax returns (CT600s)
• Being able to support due diligence on growth plans.
• Confident individual who works well independently and in a team environment, can also build and maintain client & customer relationships
• Excellent verbal & written skills are essential to the Senior Management team

  
Qualifications:

• Can be Qualified or Qualified by experience 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing year-end accounts 
• Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with a variety of financial reporting and finance system-related queries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with Accounting software's (desirable Xero)
