Financial Accountant

Reed Finance are partnered with a higher education institution to onboard a Financial Accountant for maternity cover of 6-7 months. You will ideally be available on short notice and be familiar with the schedule demands of a large fast-paced organisation to enable you to hit the ground running. Reporting into the FD and Assistant FD this is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience within a new sector and offers a friendly and supportive working environment and very flexible working (after an initial few weeks).

Key requirements:

• Preparation of Financial Statements
• Audit liaison (external)
• Month End close
• cashflow forecasting
• Quarterly VAT return
• Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet
• Cashflow and treasury management
• Capital grant return
• ONS requests
• Supervising the Finance Officer, offering guidance and mentoring

You will be a fully qualified accountant with a natural flair for process improvement. Salary offered is up to £60k per annum and offers a vibrant and stimulating working environment.
