We are seeking a Financial Accountant to manage the preparation and reporting of accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting business decision-making. The role includes maintaining ledgers, performing reconciliations, and assisting with audits and tax filings.

Description

Financial Accountant responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Overseeing accounting operations, including the design of an organisational structure
• Managing the company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
• Liaising with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
• Implementing best practice accounting methods
• Researching and resolving financial discrepancies
• Contributing to financial audits and coordinating regulatory reporting
• Collaborating with management on development and execution of funding strategies

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Qualification in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
