Financial Accountant

We're working with an established and growing business based in Solihull that is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their supportive finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your technical skills, get broad business exposure, and develop your career in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

In this role, you'll be right at the heart of financial reporting, making sure key areas of the business are accurately reflected in the accounts and supporting with everything from reconciliations to statutory reporting. You'll also work closely with auditors, senior stakeholders, and gain exposure to different parts of the finance function.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing key areas of the month-end and year-end financial reporting process
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Acting as a point of contact for external auditors, assisting with queries and audit preparation
• Providing commentary and analysis on financial performance and key movements
• Assisting with consolidation processes and internal reporting requirements
• Supporting technical accounting matters and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders and other teams across the business to support wider finance objectives

What we're looking for:

• ACA or ACCA qualified, either newly or recently qualified
• Strong Excel skills and a good eye for detail
• Someone proactive, keen to learn and ready to take on responsibility
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with different teams and senior stakeholders
• Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple tasks
• Experience working with multi-entity financial reporting is a nice bonus but not essential
