£55,000-£65,000 + 10% bonus + excellent benefits

We are recruiting a Financial Accountant position for a fast-growing company based in Chelmsford, Essex. They are seeking an ACA qualified accountant seeking a first move into Industry, with scope to step up to a more senior role within 12-18 months' time.

Working in brand new offices in central Chelmsford, your role will cover the following areas:

• Ownership of month end reporting
• Consolidation of monthly submissions, providing sufficient challenge to divisonal finance teams in their delivery against budget
• Develop strong & effective working relationships across the Group
• Assist in preparation of the consolidated profit forecast & 5-year business plan; annual budget process
• Assist in financial modelling to support business decisions
• Consolidation of short and long-term cashflows
• Assist in submission of quarterly financial packs to the bank
• Develop and maintain controls / policies / procedures
• Assist with production of the consolidated Annual Report under IFRS
• Assist in annual audit, corporation tax, VAT
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly Board Pack

Your background

• Practice-trained accountant (ACA / ACCA qualified)
• Strong bookkeeping and technical accounting knowledge
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter, someone who takes Initiative
