Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Blackburn

We are seeking a technically strong ACA-qualified accountant looking to make their first or second move from practice into a fast-paced, commercial environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and a desire to develop within a high-performing finance function.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller across a range of responsibilities including technical accounting, financial reporting, process improvement, and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a high-visibility role with genuine progression potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Statutory Accounts
• Leading audits monthly and quarterly
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors during financial audits
• Prepare technical accounting documentation to support accounting conclusions
• Working closely with the group reporting team
• Review and improve internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Financial reporting

The ideal candidate:

• ACA qualified
• Looking for your first or second move from practice
• Audit background
• Excellent communication skills, able to work across finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a bonus
