Salary: Circa £50,000 - £55,000 PA DOE

Location: Taunton, Somerset (1 day working from home)

Hours: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Are you a qualified Financial Accountant from practice looking to transition into industry? We're working with a dynamic and expanding business based in Taunton, Somerset, seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join their friendly and sociable team.

The Role

As a Financial Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations
• Manage VAT returns and support tax planning
• Prepare acquisition accounts and validate completion accounts
• Submit Confirmation Statements to Companies House
• Implement and maintain internal controls
• Lead internal and external audits
• Collaborate across departments to support financial strategies

What We're Looking For

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
