Financial Accountant

Halliday Marx have partnered with rapidly growing and very well known retail business to hire a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

This role has hybrid working 2/3 days a week in the office

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts & statutory financial statements
• Lead on stock accounting including valuation, reconciliation, and provision reviews
• Support month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Work closely with operations and merchandising teams to ensure accurate inventory reporting
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and internal policies
• Continuous improvement of finance processes and systems

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of experience, ideally in the retail sector
• Proven stock accounting experience is essential
• Hunter gatherer mindset
• Sense of humour
