Financial Accountant – Hybrid – £50,000 + Benefits

A well-established international business is looking for a proactive Financial Accountant to join its UK finance team. While the core title is Financial Accountant, this role offers significant involvement in project accounting, forecasting, and commercial finance — ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, business-facing role.

You’ll be joining a collaborative finance team and will play a key role in improving project visibility, supporting key stakeholders, and preparing for an SAP rollout.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of project accounting: tracking WIP, cost to complete, and margin analysis
Financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Partnering with project and operational teams to monitor performance
Involvement in year-end processes and audit support
Input into SAP implementation from a finance and reporting perspective

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong grounding in financial or management accounting
Experience in project accounting, cost tracking, or WIP analysis
Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems
Confident with forecasting and business partnering
Industry background in project-led or asset-heavy environments (e.g. engineering, logistics, tech, or construction)
Qualified or finalist accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

£50,000 salary
Hybrid working (3 days in-office)
