Financial Accountant

We are delighted to partner with a prestigious and reputable Not-for-Profit organisation based in Liverpool, in search of a Financial Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the team, reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing a professional financial accounting service to the organisation and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts and management of tax and VAT reporting.
• Assisting with finance due diligence reviews.
• Managing and controlling the balance sheet.
• Collaborating with the Finance Manager to forecast the balance sheet and cash flow.
• Preparing external financial and statutory returns for the organisation and its subsidiaries.
• Undertaking ad hoc duties as required.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and exposure:

• Proven experience in External Audit.
• Comprehensive understanding of statutory financial reporting requirements.
• Proficient in the preparation and review of statutory accounts.
• Demonstrated experience working in a complex financial environment.
• Preparation of detailed VAT returns and Corporation Tax computations.
• Part or fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA.
