Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of permanent Financial Accountant based in Edinburgh (excellent hybrid working) paying up to £53,000 plus bonus & an excellent benefits package

The Role

The Financial Accountant role is a pivotal position with the function to assist the Head of Financial Accounting with creating a robust financial control environment including financial/statutory reporting requirements, balance sheet integrity and annual audit.

The position will also work closely with both the Management Accountant and FPA function, with the employer happy to consider future request should the successful individual wish to transition over to one of these teams.

The key components of the role will include:

• Reporting to and deputising for the Head of Financial Accounting
• Involvement in high profile global process/continuous improvement projects
• Supporting with statutory accounts & returns
• Balance sheet integrity & reconciliation
• Liaising with management accounting and FP&A function
• Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
• Periodic and adhoc financial analysis & reporting

Candidate Profile

The employer is keen to engage with qualified Accountants (ESSENTIAL) that qualified in an Accountancy Practice/Firm in the audit and/or business advisory function and are seeking their first move inhouse into industry.
